Grass starter of Hoenn.
Video speedpainting: [link]
Sketch: [link]
I must say I was hurry with this and lazy with tail >:3
<edit>Added the tip of the second tail, it was bothering me enough to edit this</edit>

You know what?
Bulbasaur makes sense; its animal and plant under symbiosis...
Chikorita... Also makes sense... Have a leaf on its head, it can work on that way...
Turtwig kinda works too, I guess.
Damn, even Snivy with its huge leaf on its tail works!
But Treecko?
Its just a lizard thing that lives on trees. And I guess that makes it grass type. Yes, I am aware of what this pokemon is based on.
But...
It's only a tail. A tail. A part of its, animal, body. It isn't a plant like in case of all other grass pokemon starters. It's evolution is using leaves for hiding and to attack. It doesn't makes sense for me.
I could explain this with with those crabs example, but still this is awkward.
To me Treecko's and Grovyle's "leaves" are their body parts, not plant accesories.
Sceptile at least has something on its back that makes it more grassy. Meh.
I remember launching Pokemon Saphire version, the first original game I had, being full of excitement and then I saw the starters...
No matter what you say, I will always see butt on its head.

Oh, Treecko's an easy one to explain...

The green pigment on his tail and body is likely algal symbiosis, just like in actual animals seen today. It works great with his reptilian nature too, seeing as he'd need to absorb a lot of sunlight in order to get active early in the morning. ^^

Treecko is my favorite grass starter, i mean bulbasaur might be the best basic form, but Treecko's evolutions speak to me more.

I have a very soft spot for this guy.
