I create art for practice and for fun mostly. And when I feel like, I share my work online. I share my work to you people.
Apart of original art and practices I also do fanarts: they are usualy easy and relaxing to do.
I haven't encountered this on my original art (yet), only on fanart, so this journal treats about my fanart mostly.
I share my fanarts because why not? You enjoy it, I enjoy it, we are all happy, ya? As I don't treat fanarts very seriously (even if I put a lot of effort in a fanart, I'm just recreating someone's else original idea), I'm easy with them. Most of them are put under Creative Commons license
so you can share them on your blog/page/whatever. Moreover, if you ask, I may allow you to edit my fanart and do stuff. To say it simple
: I ask for 2 things. 1) CREDIT ME,
2) DO NOT ALTER MY WORK WITHOUT MY PERMISSION GIVEN.
Now watermarks. I put watermarks on my work not to protect it from reposting. It's opposite! I put them because I allow reposting! I am aware if something is online it will be taken sooner or later. If I don't want it to be taken, I don't put it online, simple right? Would you like me to stop uploading art? I guess no. So what do I do? I put a watermark or a signature. On my original work it is © Karolina 'Twarda' Twardosz
with one of my accounts url, while on my fanarts it is just an url. (Sometimes it is Twarda
(on sketches and unfinished works mostly)).
The thing works in that way: you take my art, and even if uncredited, people still can find the source.
You may say here: "another journal bitching about giving a credit". Well, have this for your consideration: whatiscredit.tumblr.com/post/3…
Now, after that a little long preface, let's hit the core.
PLEASE STOP REMOVING MY SIGNATURES/WATERMARKS FROM MY WORK. PLEASE STOP UPLOADING MY WORK WITH DIFFERENT WATERMARKS. THIS IS RUDE AND COUNTS AS BREAKING THE LICENSE.
